The ride just gets better with the launch of the all-new Haines Hunter 635.
After an extensive 24-month development process, Haines Hunter has unveiled its new 635 model, which will be available in hard top (SS635) and soft top (SF635) configurations.
The Haines Hunter 635 has a hull length of 6.35m with an overall length of 6.76m and carries the brands legendary 21-degree deep-vee via an all-new hull from the design team.
“The 6.0m range is important to us, this boat has evolved from demand and feedback from dealers, and the customers,” says Haines Hunter CEO Denis Kendall.
“It’s a complete new model, it’s bigger than the 600. Comparing it to a 600, the 635 carries a little more beam on the chine aft, and it still retains the 21-degree vee, and is very similar in the entry – it will still deliver that legendary ride that we’ve been famous for while being stable at rest.
“The SS635 in our view will be the best performing, most comfortable 6m hardtop in the market.”
Using modern boat building techniques and the latest in materials, the hull is hand laid resulting in superior strength, rigidity and longevity. This new 635 also features a moulded composite structural floor that’s bonded to the hull, creating watertight chambers that deliver reserve buoyancy.
The decks and bulkheads use a foam core sandwiched between an inner and outer skin. This technique reduces weight compared to other construction methods – with the benefit of improving fuel economy without compromising on strength and durability.
With 70-years of boat building behind them, these structural fibreglass composite deck floors, pioneered by Haines Hunter, are not only stronger but lighter than traditional floors.
Internal layout options will allow owners to specify the widely popular back-to-back seats, which can come with a 12-volt freezer underneath, or adjustable pedestal seats being another option. Aft bin seating can be removed or pushed under the transom; there is underfloor storage as well as a live bait tank aft.
The forward cabin has 40mm of extra headroom compared to the 600 model, has plentiful under seat storage as well as provision for a toilet under the vee berth.
The internal finish of the floor can be finished in optional soft-touch Ultralon U-Dek panels which are easy to clean and will look as good as new for years to come, alternatively traditional clip in and removable marine grade carpet is also still an option.
In addition, a new look dash can handle 12” electronic displays; the latest 5” engine instruments from Yamaha with extra provision to also fit the Yamaha Helm Master EX joystick should an owner wish.
Boasting a sizeable 195L underfloor fuel tank, the hull is rated for outboards from 150hp-200hp. Combined with the modern four-stroke outboard technology and the efficiency of a Haines Hunter hull it will give owners impressive range.
New hardware componentry see’s fold down cleats used for convenience and functionality, while cup holders and small item storage is throughout the boat.
The SS635 hardtop model will also feature innovative sliding windows that will recess into the strut supports of the roof, allowing for a bigger side window opening.
The Haines Hunter design team have also added a reverse sheer giving it a more modern and stylish look while still retaining the Haines Hunter heritage.
The new Haines Hunter 635 will be on display at the upcoming Auckland Boat Show, 8-11 October or talk to your local Haines Hunter dealer.
