Image Boats Limited are looking for two competent welders/sheet metal engineers/boat builders to join our team to build our large lifestyle aluminium pleasure boats and also our new pontoon range. 

This role is a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus the opportunity for overtime.  As a small family owned and operated company, teamwork and good communication skills are valued.  Come escape the hustle & bustle of big city life & enjoy affordable housing and high-quality schooling here in Invercargill where you can also enjoy a huge variety of sports & adventure activities & stunning nature right on your doorstep.  We have some of New Zealand’s best surfing, ski fields and vineyards within a 90-minute drive.

Image Boats Ltd is a one-stop shop, where the only time the boat leaves during the build process is to the paint shop.  The wiring of electronics, the plumbing of kitchen and showers/toilets, motor rigging and installation and upholstery are all done on site. 

This is an opportunity to learn the entire boat building process with on the job training.  As you are involved in the build from start to finish including the trailer you will also build relationships with the customer and can take pride in the boats you produce.  As we custom build each boat, no two days of work are the same as each boat we produce has something a little extra to suit each client.
