Boaties around the country are excited about getting out on the water again this Thursday 14 May as New Zealand moves to Alert Level 2. Our friends at Coastguard NZ are encouraging boaties to prepare themselves and their boats well, in advance of heading to the boat ramp, and have shared a comprehensive checklist that even the most seasoned boatie will find helpful.
If, when going through this checklist, you realise something needs fixing, replacing or your engine needs servicing, contact one of our NZ Marine member companies for assistance.
A comprehensive list of boat dealers, marine mechanics, marine electricians, marine engineers, chandlery stores, etc can be found at www.nzmarine.com/directory.
It’s exciting to plan for that first trip back out on the water but make sure you have everything in order so you can enjoy that long-awaited fishing trip with family and friends and get home again safely.
